Emma attends Columbus North High School and is on their Cross Country and Track teams. She wanted a lot of natural backgrounds for her session and we even scored a field of purple flowers just hours before it was mowed down. Emma is the person that people are talking about when they say that some people are just full of sunshine. She has the brightest smile, her personality is the absolute sweetest and she had me laughing so hard during her session that I had to stop shooting. Add in a killer style and some fun props and I was in photography heaven.
This is just a very small sneak peek into her full session but since I couldn't narrow it down any more I had to make a blog post.
Right now we are deep into busy season and one of the top questions I get asked when I get inquiries is "What if I don't know what I want to do at my session?" Guess what- most seniors don't come to me with more than a vaugue idea. It's my job to take that and help them create their dream session. Let me tell you how I accomplish just that.
When you send us an inquiry for a senior session, our form letter is sent out within 24 hours. It includes all of the details on our business, why I shoot sessions that way that I do and how to contact me to set up a consult. At that phone consult, we start brainstorming ideas. Even if you think you have NO idea what you want to do, I can generally ask enough of the right questions to get the ideas started. I've been doing this for over 15 years so I'm pretty good at finding us a starting place. Things like- do you want to include and sports or school activites, any pets or do you have a vehicle you want to do photos with will generally start some ideas brewing. Once we have all of the ideas started and a date scheduled I remind the senior and their parents that my years of knowledge is at their complete disposal. They can text me about outfit suggestions, send me screenshots of location ideas they love or even just tag me back into the conversation if planning the session starts getting hard. I like to tell them that if it isn't fun anymore to plan your senior photos then you should be talking to me. I can help work through all of the tricky spots and get it back on track pretty fast. Sometimes just having an outside opinion that has been there and is kinda a pro at it helps solve even the biggest issues. Honestly, there isn't much I haven't seen or been asked, so I encourage my clients to use my knowledge to their benefit. I'm there with you every single step of the way.
If you are looking to have senior photos taken with 1492, we are quickly filling up. September is down to 1 available date and the rest of the summer doesn't have much more. If you are interested in finding out what dates we still have available, click that Contact Us link on the main page of our website and we will be in touch in about 24 hours.
