Gracie had some very fun ideas for her session when we did her consult to plan it. One big thing being that she wanted to include her large collection of Converse hightops. I love a good challenge of trying to include something the senior collects but showing it off in a fun and unique way. So why not have her family throw them at her?! Haha! I don't know for sure but I don't even think they hit her with them...much.
Gracie also wanted to include her dad's killer Jeep and the fact that she is planning on going to college for nursing next year. I love how her session turned out. It shows all of the fun, laid-back sides of Gracie.
One thing that I am frequently asked when we are planning sessions is if the parents should come to the shoots. While that is ultimately up to the seniors, here are my thoughts.
We couldn't have done the shoe shots without help.
Her dad drove the Jeep to the shoot so that Gracie didn't have to mess up her hair in an open top, no doors vehicle.
We needed some quick hair touch ups that mom was able to pop in and back out of the shots that meant I didn't have to stop what I was doing and put down the camera, fix the hair, get back in position and shoot.
Plus, senior photos are a big deal. Not only for the student, but for the parents as well. This is a core memory of your senior year and your parents want to be a part of that with you! But regardless, if parents can't make it just know that I will happily try my best to throw shoes at you for the shot! Haha!
