2021 Senior Sessions Info

As we wind down our 2020 senior season, we are hitting the 2021 season at full speed so I thought I'd take a few minutes to explain the process.

Senior sessions are a big deal, and we like to help make it a memory by taking something that usually is just one more thing to be checked off of the to do list and create something you'll be talking about for years to come. However, we can't do this without some planning and a whole lot of help from not only the senior, but their parents as well. In order to create some of our most popular dream sessions, there are usually hours of planning and work as well as multiple people helping. But first, let's chat about the process.

If you are interested in scheduling a senior session with us, there are a few things you need to know first.

1- We do not do studio photography. I know, it's part of our name! However, when it comes to our seniors we never step foot in a studio space (unless it's absolutely required.)

2- While we are known for our big, out there ideas, not every session wants that or needs it. Some of our seniors just want a more simplistic approach. However, that doesn't mean that we don't still give them plenty of time to plan and come up with ideas that are perfect for them. We do! Every session is different but every single session is planned out well in advance. Simple or giant- they all get one-on-one planning.

So, how do schedule? Well, it's not always that simple. To inquire about a senior session you can click Contact Us or email me directly at nowelle@studio1492photography.com.

Once we get your email, we will reach back with our Senior Inquiry form. This gets us started planning your dream session. Be prepared- we ask A LOT of questions. These kids are unique and we want to showcase what makes them stand apart from the crowd. Once we get that information back from you we will set up a time to do a phone call with you and the senior if they are available so that we can start tossing around ideas both big and small.

I know what you're thinking- wait, I can't just email you and schedule a time and be done with it? Nope! Sorry! We don't do cookie cutter sessions so scheduling a time for a session without planning it out first does not happen here.

When you email us initially, here are a couple of things that we need and some ideas to include to help get the ideas started. We need the senior's name (since we are usually communicating with the parents) and their high school. We'd also love to know how you heard about us. We have a killer senior rep program where they get rewarded for referrals so we need to know who to reward! We'd also love to know what ideas you might already have even if they're as simple as "he plays on the football team." We can never have too much information. Also, go ahead and let me know when is a good time to set up a phone call meeting since that will be the next step.

Once we have that, the planning starts.

Oh, and for those parents that are wondering if it's too soon to schedule- it's not! We book up for the year sometimes as early as August. Fall dates are our most popular and they are already starting to book. Football parents- you're going to want to book ASAP before practices start and fall season kicks into full swing. Same with all fall sports.

Okay, so that's senior session inquiries in a nutshell. They can be as big or as simple as you want but they will never be cookie cutter.

Want more information? Click Contact Us and let's chat!

Also, every year we create a list of "dream senior sessions" so I thought I'd include just a couple of those here. If you fall into any of these categories, let me know when you contact us!
