Something new is coming this way!

I am always amazed at the way life works. In just a few weeks, my amazing husband and I will be celebrating our 12th wedding anniversary. If you would have told me 12 years ago that one day I would be where I am today I probably would have thought you were insane. I was so stressed and overwhelmed when it came to planning the details of our wedding- especially the timeline. Add in the fact that we were living over 4 hours away from where we would be married and needless to say that last 6 weeks was STRESSFUL!!

At our recent wedding consults and timeline planning sessions, I realized that I have been blessed to be a small part of dozens and dozens of weddings and with that, I have gained a ton of knowledge. I can literally plan an entire wedding day timeline down to the minute in under 10 minutes if needed. I know all of the best vendors in the area and have built a reputation among them that, if needed, I can call them at the drop of a hat for anything. And they know they can call me for the same. I can talk a nervous bride down from a panic attack and even see when I have totally lost the groom and get him back into the mix.

Wedding day stresses- not a problem! I've just about seen it all and honestly, there isn't much that surprises me or that can throw me off my game.

Why am I telling you all of this? Well, it's not to brag- I promise! I am honestly a little bit shocked that the super timid, reserved girl that I was 12 years ago turned into someone that will willingly (and happily) walk in front of a wedding of 300+ guests with a microphone and start directing when the bride wants a shot and is too overwhelmed to ask for it from her guests. (It's happened- I promise! Later that night when I was home I suddenly realized how unlike me that would have been just a few years ago!) I promise you- I really did use to be shy and not bossy at all! Ask anyone I went to high school with!

So for the new and exciting news. Starting in the next few weeks, we will be offering blogs that are full of information for our couples to help them best prepare for their weddings. Blogs full of information from how to get ready for your engagement session to our favorite vendors, what is the best time to have a ceremony and the most stunning venues we've come across. We are even planning on having a few guest bloggers that will share their area of expertise with you!

We are also going to have some of our previous brides and grooms offer up their best advice for some of the blogs! All you have to do is follow our blog and Facebook page! Why am I going to offer up all of this advice when my "competition" can then just use it without doing any of the work? Maybe because I'm a little crazy, but mostly because I think you, as prospective clients, will realize that along with this advice comes years of busting our butts to become what we are today. If our product stands on its own, then, in my book, competition really isn't an issue. This isn't about fighting for more clients or trying to prove how amazing we are. We let our brides and grooms do that for us with their testimonials. This is about giving you the resources that I wish I had had when I was in your shoes 12 years ago.

I am so excited to start this new blog series! Keep in mind- these will not be happening on a weekly basis or on any specific timeline. It's busy season for wedding vendors so I am just trying to keep up right now. But they will be mixed into all of our other blogs full of the real weddings we photograph every weekend.

Thanks for taking the time to read this, and since no blog is complete without an image, here's one of my amazing husband and I on our recent vacation! Have a wonderful Tuesday afternoon, friends!!
