First of all, I need to give you a little backstory before sharing these images. Chris and Jessica were AMAZING to work with! They were the kind of clients that every wedding photographer dreams of working with. For the past few months, I have been in communication with both of them individually as they shared little surprises that they had planned for the other. (More on those to come in future blogs!)
A few weeks ago, I got an email from Chris saying that he had a special gift that he wanted to give Jessica right before their First Look. We planned it all out and how to make the most of it and the location we had planned to shoot at and then, Mother Nature got in the way. As of 2 days before the wedding, there was a 90% chance of rain and their original First Look location is very much outside. So Chris and I scrambled and planned a great indoor backup location. And just like it always happens, call it Karma or fate or just that Mother Nature likes to screw with me, the day of the wedding came and there was NO rain! Hooray for planning! We went right back to this gorgeous little spot that was their plan all along for their First Look.
I got Chris into place and then (after promising multiple times not to peek) I got Jessica into place back to back and gave her the gift that Chris had secretly given me that morning. Once she was ready I told her to just turn around and Chris was right there. The reaction on Chris' face is perfect! He was SO happy to see her and I am so glad I was asked to capture this memory for them.
We have A LOT more to share from this wedding, but I thought this happy moment was too perfect not to share on this gloomy Monday morning.
